Ben with Philedelphia Flyer center R.J. Umberger2858 viewsIt was a few days before Super Bowl XL and members of the Philadelphia Flyers were asked to predict who they thought was going to win the game. Over a dozen players selected the Steelers, but none of them with the passion and enthusiasm for the black and gold than center R.J. Umberger.
"Steelers, 24-21," predicted Umberger. "I believe they are a better team and Big Ben is a better quarterback. He is going to lead them."
Umberger particularly wanted to meet quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He presented him with a #7 Flyers jersey with Roethlisberger on the back. He also had him sign a Steelers jersey and a few other items.

And despite the fact that he is a professional athlete himself, it was a thrill for Umberger to see his favorite player up close and personal.

October 11, 2012 - Richard Culliver1423 viewsJason "Moose" Cunningham and his members at Augusta SteelMasters, a Steelers fan club in Augusta, Georgia purchased tickets for the family to attend the game. Once there, he was allowed on the field, courtesy of Coach Mike Tomlin who presented the family with field passes!
But it wasn't just Coach Tomlin and his Steelers players that made Richard's first game special, players from the Tennessee Titans - Chris Johnson, Derek Mason, and former Steeler Nate Washington autographed a football for Richard which was presented to him by former Steeler Yancey Thigpen. And that penalty flag? That came from the NFL's most popular referee, Ed Hochuli! Even the Tennessee Titans cheerleaders asked to pose for a photo with Richard because they heard he was a "big celebrity"!
