October 11, 2013 - Steelers Style Fashion Show3730 viewsThe show started off with a bang, with the University of Pittsburgh dance team and cheerleaders and the Pittsburgh Steeline setting the stage and firing up the crowd. It was then all about the players as they hit the runway, many with their kids, in their jerseys dancing and having fun to their own musical selections. Among the choices were Ben Roethlisberger and his son Ben to “Just the Two of Us,†by Will Smith, Shaun Suisham to his country’s National Anthem “O Canada,†and Bruce Gradkowski and daughter Liliana to the Temptations “My Girl.â€

July 22, 2012: Steelers-themed beach wedding676 viewsFrom Heather Askin:
"We renewed our vows for our 18th Anniversary at Emerald Isle, North Carolina. We have been vacationing there for 12 years now! I am originally from Butler, Pennsylvania but moved to Kentucky when I was 14 because of my dad's job! I will always bleed black and gold! Every year for our Anniversary we buy each other tickets to watch the Steelers play in Cincinnati as a gift!"

November 10, 2019 - Rams vs Steelers442 viewsMatt Freed captured this moment on the field between Ben and Dick Hoak.
Did you know?
“Chosen by the Steelers in the seventh round of the 1961 NFL Draft, Hoak had an impressive career, amassing 3,965 rushing yards in 1132 attempts (3.5 avg) with 25 touchdowns. He also caught 146 passes for 1,452 yards (9.9 avg) and 8 touchdowns. He was named to one Pro Bowl and led the team in rushing three times. He retired after the 1970 season as Pittsburgh’s number 2 all-time rusher, and is currently fifth all time in rushing yards out of all Steelers.
Hoak was hired by then-coach Chuck Noll as running backs coach in 1972, and served in that position for 20 seasons. He passed on the head coaching job with the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers when offered it in 1983. Noll retired in 1991, and Hoak was the only one of Noll’s assistants retained under his successor, Bill Cowher.
During his tenure, the Steelers rushed for over 30,000 yards (the only team to do so in this time period) and led the league in rushing yards three times. He was the position coach for Steeler greats Franco Harris and Jerome Bettis.â€

February 23, 2015: A "Thank you" all the way from Cheyenne469 viewsFire Chief John McDougall, Francis E. (FE) Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne Wyoming, told us back in January that MSgt Joel Harr is “the biggest Pittsburgh Steelers fan I know (and I know lots!),†and was set to retire in February as an active duty member of the US Air Force after 20 years of service. Chief McDougall was searching for a suggestion “on how we can make Joel’s retirement very special.â€
More from Chief McDougall:
“Joel grew up in a small town in West Virginia and is an avid fan of the Steelers. I was hoping to make his retirement on February 20th very special. Joel has a family; his wife Karen, sons Braden and Jack, and daughter Evelyn. Karen is an active Duty MSgt as well, and is as much of a fan of the Steelers as Joel is since she grew up in PA. My goal is simple, I want to make Joel’s retirement after 20 years of dedicated and extraordinary service to our great country a day he’ll long remember.â€
Presenting him with a game-worn, autographed Steelers Salute to Service 39THIRTY cap (with the camoflage bill) from Ben sounded like the perfect gift – the players wore those caps during the NFL’s Salute to Service month in November.
Chief McDougall agreed…and when the big day arrived, wanted to share the photos of MSgt Harr’s retirement celebration with us.
