November 29, 2022 - Big Ben is "legit"!3733 viewsWyatt McDonald @WyattMgolf
I met Ben Roethlisberger this week. I can’t lie to you and tell you I’ve always been a big fan of his, BUT now I’m a huge fan. I heard him speak at dinner last night and met him this morning. He puts his faith and family above everything and gives the glory to God. He’s legit!

Ben Roethlisberger reaches out1545 viewsBen spent some time over the weekend of May 18-20th, 2007 talking to local children about the dangers of drugs at an event called "The Alliance".
He spent two hours at the event, talking to the kids and giving out awards.
Words from Ben:
"Luckily, I've never lost any friends because of [drugs]. I do know a lot of people that have done it and cleaned up their act because they've seen the negative effects of it."
As to being around drugs:
"I don't put myself in that situation. If there is something there, wherever it is, I don't go - I leave right away. It 's not just something [where] I'm going to get myself in that situation. Because I don't feel that is being a 'right' role model whether I'm doing it or not, being there if there are drugs there!"

Ben's Official Photo, 2003.3568 viewsOn Saturday, October 13, 2007, Miami of Ohio retired Ben Roethlisberger's number. It was the first time in 34 years Miami has retired a football jersey number. Ben became only the third athlete in Miami football history to have his jersey number retired, joining John Pont and Bob Hitchens.
The former RedHawk quarterback, now a star with the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers, led Hoeppner's 2003 club to 13 consecutive victories, a Mid-American Conference Championship, a victory in the GMAC Bowl and a No. 10 ranking in the final national polls. Roethlisberger earned Third-Team All-America honors during his record-breaking junior season and became just the third Miami player to capture the Vern Smith Award as the Mid-American Conference Most Valuable Player.
Ben holds school records for career yards (10,829) and touchdowns (84).
He was selected with the 11th overall pick in 2004 by the Pittsburgh Steelers -- the highest draft position of any Miami player in program history. Ben led the Steelers to victory in each of his first 14 NFL starts, leading Pittsburgh to the AFC Championship game and being named the NFL's Rookie of the Year. One year later he led the Steelers to a 21-10 win over Seattle in Super Bowl XL.

Black & Ghoul Halloween - 2014728 views"This is my 7-yr old son Jaymison who will support his team no matter how much a hard time all these Bears fans here in Illinois give him! In fact all he asked for Christmas and his Birthday that is 5 days before Christmas is to redo his whole room from super heroes to Steelers so it was no big shock that all he wanted to be for Halloween was a Steelers football player!" -- Jaime Darnell
