The Guthrie Family425 views"My family at the Steelers/Cardinals game here at the University of Phoenix Stadium in week 7 of 2011. I brought my mom Myrtle Evans, my sister Erika Schaltenbrand, brother-in-law Dale Schaltenbrand, and their son Joey Schaltenbrand down from the 'Burgh, and Rajan and I took them to the game. It was like a home game; I'm sure there were more Steelers' fans than Cards' fans at the stadium that day! It was one of the best days, maybe THE best day we've all ever spent together." -- Richard Guthrie

From Monterrey, Mexico to the Steel City to catch a game!425 viewsThe Regios De Acero Steelers Fan Club traveled by bus from Mexico to Pittsburgh to see their beloved Steelers LIVE!
Regular readers are familiar with this hardy crew of Steelers fans who wear their love for their favorite team (and their favorite player) on their backs as part of their everyday attire!
Sure, they watch their Steelers at home in Mexico, and they’ve traveled to Kansas, Arizona, and to Dallas for Super Bowl XLV to see them play (they didn’t have tickets, but they did tailgate and watch the game on TV), but their dream was to see a Steelers game in THEIR home!
They finally made their own dream come true on December 15th!
From Roger Saucedo on their unforgettable trip:
The trip to Pittsburgh started on Thursday, December 12th at 7:00 am. A group of around 25 Steelers fans leave Monterrey to Pittsburgh. We pass the border by McAllen,Texas. The plan was go non-stop to Pittsburgh, just stop to buy food and gas for the bus.
We finally arrived in Pittsburgh on Friday, December 13th by 11:00pm which means we completed the trip from Monterrey to the Steel City in around 40 hours. Obviously all were tired but happy because we will be at the game at Heinz Field…and we arrived while it was snowing....

October 30, 2019 - Bensday: Halloween Eve Edition422 viewsThis Halloween my son Beckett said he wanted to be a football player. He was just planning on wearing his team uniform. Beckett is 7 years old & plays football for the Peters Twp. Termites team.
However, on October 3rd he had to be taken by ambulance to CHP because he severely broke 2 bones in his arm during football practice. He said that the worst thing about the broken arm is that he “couldn’t play footballâ€.
About a week post his break, Beckett said he still wanted to be a football player for Halloween…he wanted to be Big Ben. He’s now just a little dude on the sidelines, he has a huge heart & was adamant about being Big Ben! — Hilary Clark.
Beckett, you could have been “a football playerâ€, but you look even better as Big Ben the football player supporting his teammates from the sidelines. Have a great Halloween buddy!🎃
